Samrudh Goparaju is a senior at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois with a passion for public policy and law. Through founding the Buffalo Grove Muscular Dystrophy Awareness nonprofit and securing an Illinois Senate resolution designating an MD Awareness Month, he has developed a firsthand understanding of how community organizing can shape public policy. He has also served as Research Chair for his school’s debate program, where he placed 8th in Stanford nationals. He is excited to bring his background in policy research and legislative advocacy to advancing evidence based approaches to justice reform.
