Daija Yisrael

Daija Yisrael is a second-year Master of International Development Policy candidate at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with minors in French and Anthropology, from Tulane University. Prior to pursuing her master’s degree, she worked for Council Member Tom Dernoga at the Prince George’s County Council, the legislative branch of the second-largest county in Maryland. Her research interests include primary education, economic empowerment, and the efficient provision of public goods. She is eager to contribute her training in quasi-experimental data analysis and her qualitative research background to the lab’s mission of advancing transparent, evidence-based policy to improve access to justice. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and engaging with Black experiences in colonial archives.
